Competitors and sites
Track several domains in one project and compare them on the same keywords.
In a project, a competitor is just one more domain, flagged as such. It is checked on the same keywords as you, with no extra check and therefore no extra cost: one SERP read serves every domain that appears in it.
Adding a competitor
- In the project panel, the Competitors area: one domain per line.
- From a SERP's detail, on any result: Add as competitor.
- From the tracked-site list in the detail panel, by moving a domain from My sites to Competitors or back.
- From the Sites page, in bulk, across all your projects at once.
- Through the API:
POST /api/competitors.
My site or competitor?
The distinction does not change the checks, it changes the reading: your sites show green, competitors orange, and the overview counters filter to one group or the other. The same domain can be "my site" in one project and a "competitor" in another.
Comparing them
The Sites page
Sites gathers every domain across your projects, grouped by domain rather than by project. You see at a glance which projects a domain appears in, how many keywords concern it and whether it is treated as your site or as a competitor.
- Filter by project, by type or by date added.
- Change the type in bulk: My site or Competitor, across every project involved.
- Pick a domain's colour, which then follows it everywhere in the interface.
- Add one or several domains to several projects at once.
