Import and export
Create projects in bulk from a CSV, and get your data back out.
Importing a CSV
The import creates several projects and their keywords in one go, typically when you arrive from another tool or take over a client portfolio. The Import button is on the Projects page.
- 1Drop the fileCSV only, UTF-8 encoded, up to 10 MB and 50,000 rows.
- 2Map the columnsThe keyword is required. The project name and project URL are optional: without them everything lands in a single project whose name you choose. A five-row preview confirms the mapping.
- 3Set each projectDevice, country, language and frequency, project by project or for all at once. Counters show unique keywords, duplicates removed and ones already tracked.
- 4Let it runThe import runs in the background: you can close the window, a progress bar stays on the Projects page.
Rows sharing a project name are grouped into that project automatically. A minimal example:
project_name,project_url,keyword
Acme Shop,https://acme-shop.com,cordless drill
Acme Shop,https://acme-shop.com,garage workbench
Blue Agency,https://blue-agency.fr,seo agency niceWhat an import costs
Every keyword created triggers a first check, so 6 pages. The only exception: a keyword another of your projects already tracks (same country, language and device), and that you already paid for today (UTC day), shares that check at no extra cost. The summary on the last step shows the total before you start, and the import is blocked if your balance is short.
Exporting
| From | What you get |
|---|---|
| A project's table, Export button | A CSV of the visible selection, filters included: keyword, site, location, device, volume, CPC, position, change, previous, best, URL, tags and date. |
| The Keywords page | A CSV of the selected rows: keyword, project, volume, CPC, location, device, depth, frequency and date. |

| The Looker Studio connector | Your positions straight into a dashboard. See Looker Studio. |
CSV files are semicolon-separated and UTF-8 with a BOM, which Excel opens without any setting. The filename carries the project and today's date.
