Looker Studio connector
Plug your positions into Looker Studio and blend them with your other sources.
The connector brings your positions into Looker Studio, where you cross them with Analytics, Search Console or your own sheets. It is included, at no extra cost.
Getting started
- 1Ask for the connectorWrite to support: we send you the connector link to open in Looker Studio.
- 2Authorise with your API keyLooker Studio asks for a key: paste the one from Settings → Account → API key. See API.
- 3Choose the sourceGive the project's exact name, the device (all, desktop or mobile) and, if needed, a list of tags.
- 4BuildThe fields arrive ready to use in the report editor.
The available fields
| Dimensions | Metrics |
|---|---|
| Date | Position |
| Keyword | Previous position |
| Device | Change |
| Location | Search volume |
| Ranking URL | 12-month average volume |
| Tracked site | CPC |
| Tags |
One row is one keyword, one day, one device and one tracked site: your domains and your competitors' alike. That is the granularity a position curve or a comparison needs.
Good practice
- The report's date range drives the query: keep it sensible on very large projects.
- Filter by tags to build a dashboard per range or per client without multiplying sources.
- The project name must match the tool's character for character: if it changes, update the source.
- For a one-off extract rather than a living dashboard, the CSV export or the API are more direct.
One connector covers all your projects: create one data source per project, with the same API key.
