Check frequencies

Four rhythms, set keyword by keyword, that decide your bill.

The frequency says how often a keyword is checked. It is the only setting that changes your usage for a given number of keywords.

Where to set it

Frequency belongs to the keyword, not the project. The project only offers a starting value, applied to the keywords created with it.

  • At project creation, for the whole first list.
  • In the Add a keyword panel, for new ones.
  • On a row, through Edit.
  • In bulk: select rows, then Change frequency.
  • On CSV import, per imported project.
Changing the frequency breaks nothing: the history already collected stays, only the rhythm of future checks changes.

Picking a rhythm

DailyThe keywords that carry your revenue, a migration under way, a penalty to watch.
Every 2 daysThe sweet spot for a large set of commercial keywords: half the cost, a curve that still reads well.
WeeklyLong tail and content keywords, which move slowly.
MonthlyWatch-list keywords, tracked for the trend rather than for reaction.

Nothing forces a single rhythm. Mixing is where usage-based pricing pays off: 50 keywords daily and 500 weekly comes to about €12.60 a month, excluding VAT.

What happens if the balance hits zero

A keyword whose owner has no pages left is not checked: it is simply skipped, and picks its rhythm back up on the next pass once the balance is topped up. Nothing is deleted and the history stays.
